Everyday Aliens Workshop

Thanks to intrepid explorer of the biological kind - interdisciplinary artist and educator Heather Barnett – yesterday, a gathering of curious creatives from about the world were able to enjoy the artistic possibilities of slime-mould.

Part of the Floating Cinema’s Extra-Terrestrial London series, which runs from August 21st to September 20th, the workshop kicked off with a fascinating talk by Heather, followed by a hands-on session in which all aboard created an assemblage of artistic experiments.

Upcoming events in the Floating Cinema series include a talk by Dr. Marc Sarzi and Dr. Lewis Dartnell exploring the symbiotic relationship between fiction and fact through expanding technological capabilities, and four-day open air film programme featuring cult classics and rarities, alongside talks and art installations 'exploring visions of cosmic utopias and future intergalactic worlds'.
